So Excited!

A few months ago, I was talking to my good friend (and biggest fan) Christina about a new project that I was thinking about doing. Boudoir Photography. I am sure she was thinking “What in the world?”. But after I explained this new idea and what my vision was for it, she was off and running thinking of anyone she thought wouldn’t hesitate to get in front of the camera in their skivvies. At the time it was still just a thought, but after a month went by, and these beautiful women and mothers all lined up waiting to do something fun and fabulous, I quickly had to jump in and get it going.

So, with Christina’s help in consulting and coordinating, we set the date. We were to meet in a fine upscale boutique hotel nestled somewhere between the Med Center and Downtown. In the luxurious 1100 sq ft suite, we had a hairstylist, make-up artist, snacks and champagne. The women came with suitcases full of anything they thought might be sexy. The party began!

After each was pampered with a perfect poout and lovely lashes. After her hair was curled, styled, sprayed, they walked into the bedroom of the suite. Some a little nervous, some a little hesitant, some excited. But when they came out after the shoot, each woman was transformed. She left feeling a little more confidant, a little more sassy, extremely fabulous and definitely beautiful. To me, that was all I could have asked for.

As a mother of 3 spirited kiddos, I find it extremely hard to feel beautiful sometimes. When I told Christina of this new adventure, I told her that I wanted most of all, to make women feel great about themselves. Whether they were there because they needed it for their hubby, because they were celebrating weight loss, or whether they were just celebrating themselves. Each left feeling extremely excited, and most of all–best of all–beautiful.

And so, in the coming weeks I will be launching the newest addition to my photogaphy business. I look forward to helping you feel fabulous, give wonderful gifts to your husbands and to yourselves! After photographing children and families for so long, this is definitely something different for me. It is my hope that any one of you that books a boudoir session will leave feeling the same as each of these girls did.
